Fremantle defender Luke McPharlin is expected to announce his AFL retirement on Wednesday.
The Dockers have called a press conference for McPharlin for 10.45am local time (12.45EST).
Skipper Matthew Pavlich is expected to announce his own retirement at a later date.
McPharlin has played 256 games since making his debut for Hawthorn in 2000.
But the 33-year-old struggled with injuries in his past two years.
McPharlin missed both the 2014 and 2015 finals series with calf issues.
The Dockers crashed out of the 2014 finals series in straight sets, while they were knocked out by Hawthorn in this year's preliminary final.
Like Pavlich, McPharlin never won a premiership, with the pair part of Fremantle's losing grand final to Hawthorn in 2013.
