Fremantle stars Harley Bennell and reigning Brownlow Medallist Nathan Fyfe were both missing from the club's training session this morning.
Reports before Christmas suggested that Fyfe was struggling with a back problem that would require surgery, however the club was quick to deny that the current best player in the game needed said surgery.
Fremantle assistant coach David Hale says that Bennell has been "de-loaded" after putting together a strenuous and torturous pre-season before Christmas.
Bennell suffered a number of soft tissue injuries throughout his time at the Gold Coast Suns before joining the Dockers in the recent off-season.
Ruckman Zac Clarke spent time in the rehab group as he recovers from a knee injury, meanwhile defenders Garrick Ibbotson and Alex Pearce, as well as Danyle Pearce were not spotted on the track either.
