Fremantle star recruit Harley Bennell won't debut for the Dockers in the foreseeable future with coach Ross Lyon confirming that the former Gold Coast midfielder has had a recurrence of his calf injury.
Bennell managed to play just the one WAFL game earlier in the season where he kicked four goals and had 25 plus disposals, however hasn't played a game since at any level.
Fremantle traded picks 16 and 35 to the Gold Coast Suns to get Bennell to the club during last season's trade period.
Lyon: He’s had a bit of a hiccup, but we will update at the right time - on Harley Bennell #foreverfreo— Fremantle Dockers (@freodockers) May 19, 2016
In better news for the Dockers, midfielder Stephen Hill is a good chance to face the Tigers this weekend after scans revealed that his quad injury was not as bad as first thought.
Lyon: It turned out to be minor, so we are pretty confident he will play - on Hill #foreverfreoMay 19, 2016
